Question of the Month
March 2001

At the end of January we forwarded you the text of an inspiring interview with 17-year-old Sara Bogdani. Last fall, Sara quit her job promoting Marlboro cigarettes for Philip Morris to become an outspoken youth advocate of "For a Tobacco-Free Albania." The interview is online at http://www.tobacco.org/News/rendezvous/bogdani.html

The paths that led each of us to work on tobacco control are probably very different. Among us are former smokers, doctors, consumer advocates, youth, researchers, health promoters, government employees, and people who have lost loved ones to tobacco. This month, we would like you to share your stories.

Question: How did you come to work on tobacco control? What motivates your work? How did you become interested in international tobacco control efforts?

Our stories will help us to get to know each other better.
