Licensed to Kill Inc Executives to Present "Their Side"
On
March 19, Licensed to Kill, Inc, a new tobacco company with the
explicit purpose of "manufacturing and marketing tobacco
in a way that each year kills over 400,000 Americans and 4.5 million
other persons worldwide" was incorporated in the Commonwealth
of Virginia. On Wednesday, April 23rd, tobacco control advocates,
including 200 teens, will gather at the Virginia State Capitol
to denounce the company, call for greater controls on corporations
that kill, and stand in solidarity with people around the world
who are resisting the tobacco industry's global expansion.
